For the 10th annual outdoor Logan Square Farmers Market, I aided in the research, design and implementation of new waste system that added composting and recycling for the first time. I created food graphics and designed signage.  Then I helped implement the program, educate and train the general public about how to compost and recycle. The new waste program reduced landfill garbage by 50% and has been ongoing at the 2014 indoor and 2015 outdoor markets.

Printed signage was color-coded to match the bins and were used as shown.

With my illustrations, I chose items (especially packaging) which I knew were used by our market vendors in order to help market goers match the signs to what was in their hands.
